I had a horrible side effect of night paralysis from the waist down. Told my doc, and he said it was just my anxiety from taking a new medicine. I reminded him that I was the one who asked for the medicine, wasn't his idea. I'm sure this is a rare side effect, but I did stop taking it. Wishing you so much luck on it. ❤️

I took Lexapro for a couple of years. At first it helped, but recently I had to change to Effexor. While on Lexapro I didnt notice any side effects.

I personally took Lexapro for a while but didn't find it had a big help for me I also felt really tired and seemed to have pretty severe brain fog personally so I would just make sure with your doctor that they think this treatment would be the perfect choice for you

I've been on lexapro for a few years now. It was helping a lot. But then I had my psychiatrist add wellbutrin to it to help with depression symptoms. It doesnt help with my anxiety much tho. I take buspar for that. Buspar was a miracle pill for me. The only side effect I've noticed with lexapro is that its harder to urinate. I have to force the urine out of my bladder by pushing. It's more of an inconvenience than anything tho. Also it lexapro makes me sleepy, so I just take it at night.

I take Effexor, Kolophine, Tegratol and Vylar. Seems to work well. I had my DNA tested to see what meds work best. I have Schizophrenia, PTSD, Anxiety and Major Depression.

I’m on it for depression and they were hoping it would take the edge off my anxiety but unfortunately it wasn’t strong enough for that and we had to add a separate anti-anxiety. Does wonders for my depression though!

I used to use Lexapro and really liked it, but after a few years I became depressed and my Dr. put me on Paroxetine, which doesn't help with my anxiety nearly as well as Lexapro did. I don't remember if I had many side effects with Lexapro however. Everyone may react differently to any medication, so maybe keep a notebook of symptoms you may be having and share with your physician?

It helps me greatly and I have been on it for years for a chemical imbalance. I take 20 mg a day and I can’t be without it, I get so cranky.
