Question about Lexapro and anxiety relief

does Lexapro make you feel different or does it just help with anxiety. I was just prescribed it today and I'm nervous to take it.

i was prescribed it a few years ago for anxiety also. it definitely helped me manage my anxiety and the best way i can explain it is that it stopped me from having the million of small anxious thoughts non stop flowing in my brain.
