Pain on the back of my leg, is it sciatica?

Has anyone had pain on the back of your leg? It feels like a rubber band being pulled tight. There was no injury or accident. I'm wondering if it's sciatica. I'm on a considerable amount of pain meds (methadone and tramadol) that aren't working for this pain. Any information would be appreciated.

Sounds like sciatica. I get it mainly on one leg that runs down the back. Pain meds didnt help but the chiropractor reduced it a lot. Staying active likes walking daily helps reduce my mother-in-laws sciatica pain.
