I was diagnosed while I was in the army but they never did anything else about it lol. What do you know about it?

Nothing but that it makes me very forgetful. My doctor tried to find a cause. Still trying to find out more about it.

Explain the he whit matter disease please. We have a few alikes!

I had an mri in April and they diagnosed white matter disease. There are three causes, migraines, Lyme disease, and multiple sclerosis. I have a history of migraines, but didn’t have many the last couple of years. We did rule out Lyme disease. I have yet to meet with a neurologist to dismiss MS.

👍Thank you. I was not aware of those causes, but I haven't had Migraines since I was in my 30's ( I am currently 71) I tested Neg for Lyme disease a few years ago and I do not have MS. I do have memory loss but It is more like a delayed remembering. I am forgetful. My Mom was Diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2005 and passed away in 2011. As for White Matter disease, I have researched it on the Mayo clinic web site. It says as far as a comparison to Alzheimer's, there are stages. But According to Mayo clinic, It depends on how fast the White Matter progresses. You could be in the 1st Stage for several years or if it progressives faster then the symptoms will increase just like Alzheimer's.
