Has anyone been diagnosed later, through your own aid, discovering your own family knew and never told you? Did you confront them, and if so, how did you do it and was it beneficial?

I was highly symptomatic and my parents were in denial, I self diagnosed at first then had a doctor finally agree, and even now they say things like " you don't look autistic" or " it's all in your head". But you can't see my brain and obviously that's where neurodivergent behaviors begin

Wow that’s effed up. This didn’t happen to me, but I know it happened for Dr. Sasha Hamdani with ADHD. She was even secretly on meds till college. Her YouTube videos may shed some light. Best of luck ❤️
