What happens if I miss a dose of Lamotrigine?

I take Lamictal once a day to treat depression, so I’m guessing there might be a little variation than with treating bipolar disorder or epilepsy, but it’s good to know that if I feel effects they will probably be minimal. I’ve had zero side effects since starting it (to my surprise and delight), so I guess it’s not that much of a surprise. My previous antidepressant was awful, though, so I sometimes worry.

Missing one dose doesn’t effect you much. I’ve been on it most of my life and have gone up to 250mg. Currently down to 150mg. Since lamictal builds in your system it will take missing two or three dosages to feel withdrawal and crappy. Don’t stress. If you remember up to halfway between dosages you’d be fine to take it. I take mine every 12 hours . As long as it’s under 6 hours it is safe for me to take it. Talk to your Dr. To make sure that’s true for you as well, if you are taking extended or delayed release it might be different. But that’s the general time with lamictal

I've never noticed a difference if I missed just one dose. Just make sure to take it the next dose because if I don't, I get sick

The last time I missed mine, I had irritability for a couple of days and I was tired.
