Hello Lamictal/Lamotrigine Gang👋🏻, Has anyone had a psychiatrist suggest going down a small dose every few weeks for ‘energy release’ / fatigue? Over the last 8 months I’ve gone from 300mg to 200mg and my energy has never been better but I’m concerned that this strategy isn’t sustainable. Ta!

Bro lamotragine made me so drowsy I stopped taking it all together and now I just take Wellbutrin it doesn’t really treat bipolar but it helps with comorbidities

Are you doing this with the advise of your Psychiatrist? Just want to make sure before I give my 2¢

@fumblingfruit yes, sry should I have clarified that. I’m trying to get feedback on his strategy (which atm is working),

@Bronzino i would say 200 mg still is pretty significant, if you feel good on that then no reason at all to change imho

@Bronzino oh okay. I was on Lamictal for 12 months and I quit it cuz i was getting rashes… Now I’m on lithium orotate (10 mg, over the counter) for mood stabilizing. I’ve felt some more energy from getting off the lamictal. But it’s done a really good job keeping me level.
