Lactose intolerance after surgery?

Lactose intolerance after surgery? I’ve ever had a problem with dairy and still generally haven’t since my lap 3 months ago. Around Christmas I had whole milk with coffee and experienced some bloating symptoms. Today I had whole milk with my coffee again and had serious bloating and gas increasing through the day which turned into nausea and vomiting tonight. I had barely anything else and suspect milk may be a new trigger for me. Has anyone else developed a lactose intolerance post surgery?

I'm lactose intolerant, but not because of surgery. If it persists and you want to continue eating dairy I'd recommend taking Lactaid. I use it frequently and it works great. I use generic brands because the brand name can be expensive, and there's no difference between them that I've noticed. If you have any questions feel free to ask and good luck.

thanks! As long as it’s just whole milk I’ll be happy— I usually only have it when it’s leftover from baking or other recipes. If it messes with my cheese intake I may need an intervention 😂
