Knowing Everything in a System

Is it normal to know everything even if said alters aren't fronting/don't front? For example, I know a person, so therefore the rest of my system will know them. But if we didn't know someone, we wouldn't know them at all.

It varies person to person I think. One of my close friends doesn't share memories with her alters but me and mine all remember the same info with a couple small exceptions
