Knee Pain Before Sleep

Has anyone felt great before falling asleep and woke up with killing knee pain (feels like it’s going to break) and really stiff hips? I’ve been stretching and seems like the pain is only getting worse. What are your remedies?

Sleeping with a pillow between your legs might help. If I don't, my hips and knees ache...

When it happens to me, I take a hot shower followed by a short walk to warm my body. Mostly it resolves the pain, but if the pain is unbearable I take Ibuprofen to relieve it.
