loved my knee brace, definitely helped keep my kneecap from moving all over the place. there are a lot of knee braces you can buy at the store. i would recommend a sleeve- without metal. and there's another one that's small, it's just a little band that goes under the kneecap. i like that one bc its small and convenient but if you bend your knee too much the Velcro can come apart and band comes right off

specifically would stay away from velcro and metal if you can on a knee brace. just a simple sleeve is most practical and easiest to use
