Seeking Input on Kidney Pain and IC Symptoms

I have an appointment with my gyno/urologist next week, so I will discuss this then, but I want to get input from others if possible until then. Might be long post, sorry. Also AFAB for biological context. Has anyone had IC caused irritation or whatever to the kidney(s)? It isn't constant, no fever or anything accompanying, just random sporadic feeling that's like mild stabbing plus cold feeling in that area on one side. Similar to how my bladder feels. I've been having that feeling in the lower right pelvis (around where the ovary would be) for maybe a couple months or so now, it went away after a week or two last time and they couldn't find anything wrong. The pain is less this time but is in more places (left and right side, sometimes closer to center pelvis) and now up in my right side on occasion. I don't know how concerned to be? I don't have great insurance and no money for urgent care, and don't want to go to the hospital again after how I was treated there last year.

IC is in your bladder. However UTI’s can and will effect your kidneys. Kidney stones will effect them too.

they took a urine sample but never said anything about it. He also didn't do anything other than talk to me and tell me to try talking to a GI in case it's intestinal, like gas. It doesn't feel like any gas pain I've ever had but he said he doesn't think it's anything serious and to just take something for gas and see if it helps. So idk now, I'll probably just talk to my general Dr next time I see her if it's still happening then.

IC is bladder only, so it shouldn’t be impacting your kidneys. However, endo and other diseases can impact the kidneys and are commonly found with IC
