new to alike!! I'm 2 years into my journey with leg braces, 6 months into my custom AFOs, and experiencing both increasing levels of growth and freedom, as well as growing pains as I get adjusted to the realities of my physical limitations. I've gone from needing to sit constantly to avoid nerve pain from lateral impingement of both ankles, to seeing small but meaningful changes in what is possible for me walking wise. I can now walk short distances without worry, and find myself frequently feeling wavering between gratitude, and frustration beeling like I still want more. looking forward to connecting with others about their journeys. - Chris

I’ve had AFO’s for about a year. They’re great. Only problem is the Velcro straps are not very sticky anymore, so I need to get them replaced but I keep putting it off
@Student_girl you def gotta do the maintenance! I'm heading back to the Dr on Friday to get the velcro replaced bc it stated to fray, I wear mine pretty tight when walking.
That's amazing!!! Progress is huge 😆
