Tips for Finding a Job with Physical Limitations and Food Allergies

Looking for tips on finding a job: I can’t stand for extended periods of time and have many severe food allergies (can’t work in food service). I’m still in college am most of the typical college student jobs are ruled out because of the 2 problems above. Any suggestions?

I’d suggest looking for student library positions (some are more active, but I had a job where I mainly sat at the help desk), or possibly receptionist or other “front desk” type jobs (I know someone who works a hotel front desk, and almost exclusively sits, though ymmv from hotel to hotel). You might also check into transcription or data entry.

Wondering what your major is or if your school has any desk-style jobs? My school has a box office/common area lobby job a lot of students take. Basically you can just sit behind a desk for a few hours and answer questions to students/guests as needed. If your major has any potential of doing a remote working style or something in that realm, I would look into doing internships /co ops where you can just do some work for a company on the side and make some money along the way. Hope that helps!
