Job Search After Diagnosis: Will it be Harder?

Is finding a job harder after getting diagnosed? I’ve only been suggested diagnoses by professionals but since Covid happened I was never fully diagnosed with anything. Was prescribed meds too so no doubt when I try again for a diagnosis, I will be prescribed more meds. It’s not like I can hide that from my future employers. I’m just afraid that by getting a diagnosis to put a name to my misery once and for all, I’m harming my chances of getting a job that I desperately need. My state is known for not providing the best protection against discrimination of any kind, so I’m a little afraid it can affect housing too.

Only if you tell people you have it and there is a HUGE STIGMA towards EUPD/Borderline Personality Disorder/EID. I tried to get a Job with a company I was once top Salesman for and they Stigmatised me and told me not to apply for any Jobs for any Companies in the Group which ruled out many opportunities.

That sucks. I think the same thing would happen to me. Thank you for the reply
