Lost my job due to mental health, struggling to find new one

So I lost my job after being hospitalized for severe depression and anxiety. I have not been unemployed since I was 18 and it has taken a big toll on my mental health. After almost two months I found what I thought was the perfect job but I wasn’t aware that they were going to give me so little hours. I am waiting to hear back from other interviews I did but I’m terrified of having to quit this job because it’s a small business and I see the opportunity to grow with them as they go. How would you handle this situation?

First off, please try to be gentle with yourself. Your employment status and job DO NOT determine your worth or who you are as a person. The way I see it, something wasn't working with your last job or just how things were. So this is an opportunity to try to do things differently and focus more on your needs! Why are you terrified at having to quit? Financially, do you desperately need those hours? If no, consider taking it slow right now and do whatever you need to do. If yes, perhaps you can consider having a conversation with the small business and explain that you really want to be able to grow with them, but you need more hours. Sometimes with smaller places there are opportunities to take on additional responsibilities to get more hours, because people tend to "wear more hats" when the staff is small. Mostly though if it were me (as it has been in the past) I would try to use my support systems, really leaning on my loved ones, explaining simply if possible, "hey I'm really struggling right now, and I'm thankful to have you in my life. Are you able to [insert what you need, talk/meet/help with job apps/whatever]." Please try to remind yourself your best is good enough. All in all, I'm rooting for you! If you need someone to talk to, I'm here

I’m currently getting financial support from my sister for the last 2 months, but I hate being a burden for her (even though I know if the situation was the other way around I would do the same for her) I tried to talk to my boss about the hours and she said it’s out of her control because it is slow season for every business (which is true). I’m waiting for other jobs to call me back but I’m sure I won’t like them as much as this one.
