So due to a traumatic event happening at my last job, almost 3 years ago, I feel like its impossible for me to get a job and feel safe. Sometimes I even have panic attacks while I'm filling out job applications. I'm not sure though if its 'bad enough' to be considered disabled or if I should just try to suck it up. So has anyone been put on disability due to mental health issues? and if yes how bad do they have to be?

Put in for mental health issues. Check with your state guidelines, but in several states the bar is as low as “requires medication” to qualify. Even if there is a higher bar, it sounds like you could use a little extra help when you need it. Disability was created for situations exactly like this- I say go for it (I have and it’s paid off big time!)

Do you know how I would check my state guidelines?

I would google it- it’s usually buried in the state website. 👍
