Tips for recovering from J-tube surgery or pyloroplasty?

Does anyone have any tips for recovering from J-tube surgery or pyloroplasty? I’m having both done on the 21st, and I’m a bit nervous about the recovery. Or if anyone has tips about abdominal surgery in general, that would be great too!

Move as soon as possible!! I had a gj tube placement and a gallbladder removal and didn’t get up to move so all the gas pumped into me for the surgery didn’t get passed and got trapped in my shoulders. It was honestly way more painful than the actual surgery so #1 tip is to get up and walk.
