Reading, listening to music, and writing has been so helpful honestly. When I'm emotionally tired I like to listen to some calm emotional songs. Healing. If I may. I totally recomend listening to cinnamon by jome, lighthouse by hearts and colors, and american shoes by rks. Music allows me to forget about the outside for a bit. Just like reading a book :)

creative expression. i like to write poems and stories when i’m feeling down. I also enjoy drawing. it helps me express myself and be productive in some sort of way, instead of just doing nothing, and it helps “smooth out” my mood. might help if you can find some sort of inspiration to gain from depression. like it’s just another part of you and you can accept that it’s there and work to live with it.

Music 100%. I saved up for a really nice pair of headphones so that it feels like a different world when I put them on. It calms me down so much and I think it’s because it’s only me who knows what I’m listening to and I can’t hear anything else. I know that sounds strange, but seriously it has helped a TON. Idk if this helped you but I hope others are able to give you some other mechanisms that you can try out :)
