My periods have always been irregular, but 3 years after having my first born, I started having more issues, and now 6 years after she was born I haven’t been able to even track ovulation because of the irregular periods. Sometimes I won’t get a period for 3 months, and sometimes I’ll bleed for well over a month. When I do have longer periods it’s very common for me to experience heavy clothing for weeks straight. I’ve been to numerous doctors and have had, what seems like, every typical tests done, multiple times. All of my tests come back normal, and I’m not sure what I’m more miserable with now, the fact that I can’t get pregnant, the fact that I can’t stop bleeding for weeks at a time, or the fact that none of the 6 drs I’ve been to seem to want to really be more concerned about my well being, more than trying to convince me to do infertility treatments (which I have tried clomid 3 times and didn’t work) I just want an answer to my underlying issue before I push trying to get pregnant, but I feel my time is ticking on that biological clock. I’d be grateful for Any insight.

@BestieBet thank you SO much! I was actually recently told to see an endocrinologist and was referred by my gyne to go to one that specializes in these issues, when I got there turned out it was an infertility clinic, he went through all the testing and kind of stopped listening when I said I wanted to figure out what’s wrong with me first and I wasn’t interested in IVF just yet, the last time I saw them was say 12 of my period when I was supposed to get a saline ultrasound, I told them I was bleeding, his nurse had me come in anyways, then when I got there he didn’t even come out to talk to me, they sent me home said I couldn’t do the saline if I’m bleeding (which I knew, which is why I informed them before I came), told me to wait for the nurse to call with instructions and never heard from them again! Thank you so much for including the clinic name!!

I had secondary infertility (and experienced multiple cysts), took over 3 years to get pg w/ my 2, 3, & 4th kiddo. I took vitex that helped to at least regulate my cycle to about 35 days. I saw a functional endocrinologist at Modern Thyroid Clinic (I added the name cause I know they do virtual appts) and started taking progesterone & thyroid medication and got pregnant in literally like 2 weeks! I promise I’m not an ad or something 😂 it was really just like a had a provider actually listen to me and try and figure out what was going on instead of what I had been told the past 10 years- “get on birth control then come off it to regulate your cycle” 🙄

I was having very similar issues after my first child. I can't remember what they called it. But they put me on metformin for a while and that seemed to regulate everything. Then I ended up pregnant with baby #2 and I haven't had the issues since. Maybe ask Dr about this.
