Irregular Periods and Abdominal Weight Gain: Is it PCOS or Ovarian Cysts?

Does anyone have a period that is irregular, constant, and never ending? I've experienced weight gain in my abdomen. I've been told that I look pregnant. Is this a sign of pcos or an ovarian cyst?

I messaged my doc about pcos to get no response. I have changed my diet and had tried exercises but due to weight it is hard and other medical issues. I have skipped another month period currently and it only started this year.

For years I had painful and never ending periods. I just thought that it is what it is for me and only ten years later found out I have endometriosis. Don't wait and ask for medical opinion, even from several doctors. Hope you'll find the reason:)

Hi! I think irregular periods can be a sign of many things, PCOS and ovarian cysts are indeed among them, but I think some bloodwork and an ultrasound will be needed to make a proper diagnosis. Maybe start by seeing a gynecologist?

Same thing all lab work fine I loom pregnant. Periods abnormal but not pregnant. They just won't try to help figure it out. No doctor will help me they say it's from stress.

I have also had this problem with endometriosis, they have told me a “regular” diet will help.. I have added in probiotics and a fiber powder which has helped a little bit

Hi, my best friend had an issue like this and she had an ovarian cyst. Please make an appointment with your doctor to figure it out. She was gaining a lot of weight in her stomach and she had stomach issues. Whatever you're experiencing is worth a doctor visit.
