My doctor has not yet recommended phlebotomy for me. My serum iron is at 260. I feel exhausted all the time, and nauseated often. Could my iron levels be affecting me even at this level?

Up to 300 can almost be normal for some folks... Have you thought about donating to see how you do? Hematocrit donation range is 13.5-20

@vettemania18 will just regular donating make much of a difference in your iron levels? I'm going to do it to see how I feel anyway. Thank you.

@Cono I have to admit, my doctor has me on a bi weekly draw, which is far more frequent then the 8 week minimum wait time between donating. But when it comes to blood draws vs doing nothing. Anything helps. You also need to avoid red meat, high iron foods, and avoid vitamin C if you can

@vettemania18 My levels were over 500 but doctor wants me under 75
