i had them monthly on dialysis. for some reason they were always painful for me. my nurses would put a hot compress on the iv site with some pressure and that really helped. one time my iv was inserted wrong and it stained my arm! but if this happens to you my stain went away after about almost a year. i never had any allergic reactions though

Sorry if this is late! My hospital (where I had to go) made me stay for an hour or so after the transfusion just to avoid serious side effects. It made me nauseous but that's about it. You've got this!

I had my first one last year and this year I've been having a bunch of weekly ones and haven't had any reactions. They make me feel better. I actually look forward to them these days. Mine don't take long. Just an hour.

I get them every 3 months and love them. No negative side effects for me and a ton of energy after.

I’ve had two iron infusions, no side effects, I feel like it helped my fatigue a bit.

I’ve had two infusions and one blood transfusion. They were all fine and I was always kept comfortable! They really help! I’m so thankful for them

I had feraheme and had a horrible allergic reaction but the nursing staff was great at getting it under control. They tried venofer next and that went much better so I get two venofer iron infusions a year now.
