Intense Rib Cage Pain - Need Help!

who here has intense rib cage pain? mine is when I’m taking deep breaths, have stomach or vaginal cramps, I’m dizzy and about to black out. it also comes with stabbing chest pains, and hot shocks inside my body. I don’t know the reasons for things or how to bring this up to a doctor or which doctor could even help with this pain 😭

Does it get worse during your period? This sounds a lot like thoracic endometriosis, especially it happening during stomach and vaginal cramps. Definitely worth looking into! It looks like you have some experience with endometriosis, but if you haven’t already look at Nancy’s Nook for more information on thoracic endo and finding doctors to treat it! Best of luck!!!

yes! it’s really bad before, during, and after my period. I have mentioned the pain to my specialist and he doesn’t say much about thoracic endo. a lot of doctors find it rare 😤

Hi. I have rib pain from Costcocondritis, which is inflammation in the cartilage & joints of the ribs. It's fairly common, especially with conditions like asthma, pots, fibromyalgia, etc which affect your chest muscles. Endometriosis has been found that far up, as well. My advice for bringing it up with a doctor would be to see a doctor you're already familiar with, like your primary care, and tell them you are having chest pains so severe you almost faint. At that point, you will have their full attention and you can give them a list of all the symptoms that happen at the same time (like you listed here). I recommend going into the appointment with your symptom list on a physical paper, so the dr can see it all laid out next to each other. I wish the best for you 💕🤞
