Hello, I have a bit of a dilemma. My insurance keeps denying my GI’s requests for Linzess because he won’t actually put on my record that I have IBS-C. He only suspects that I do, but wants me to have linzess because I keep having constipation. I tried to ask him to put it on my record, but he won’t right now. Any advice on what I should do? I’m super constipated

I don't know why he wouldn't put it on your record. In Australia, you unfortunately can't get Linzess, I wish we could as I would love to try it.

@Greensleeves Hi, sorry I didn’t see this. He’s giving me a colonoscopy next week and I think he wants to wait to rule out anything serious before diagnosing. I don’t understand why he would recommend linzess if he didn’t want to diagnose though.

One suggestion is to try asking your primary care physician if they could prescribe Linzess for you. Alternatively, you can explore other options for constipation relief, such as over-the-counter medications or dietary changes.
