Insurance denying IBS-C medication

Hello, I have a bit of a dilemma. My insurance keeps denying my GI’s requests for Linzess because he won’t actually put on my record that I have IBS-C. He only suspects that I do, but wants me to have linzess because I keep having constipation. I tried to ask him to put it on my record, but he won’t right now. Any advice on what I should do? I’m super constipated

I don't know why he wouldn't put it on your record. In Australia, you unfortunately can't get Linzess, I wish we could as I would love to try it.

Hi, sorry I didn’t see this. He’s giving me a colonoscopy next week and I think he wants to wait to rule out anything serious before diagnosing. I don’t understand why he would recommend linzess if he didn’t want to diagnose though.
