Insomnia and Nightmares on Fluoxetine

Does anyone else who takes fluoxetine or anti-depressants have insomnia and bad aggressive nightmares? I also argue out loud in my sleep apparently.

I was on fluoxetine for many years. Whilst it was great at managing my depression, I often had great difficulty getting to sleep and very vivid dreams, but not more nightmares than usual I don't think. I think it exacerbated my ADHD restlessness too, which made it doubley difficult to get to sleep.

I'm on sertraline for my anxiety through the day and propranolol so I can sleep better at night. I'm also seeing a hypnotherapist which has helped so much

Sertraline actually helps me sleep, doesn't help with my depression though.

I have incredibly vivid dreams almost nightly but I find them to be very beneficial so long as I debrief in the morning
