Struggling with Insomnia and Needing Friends

I'm new here. I have extremely bad insomnia which is messing up my life. I keep taking benedryl but it's doing nothing. I really need actual friends to talk with.

Can you help? connect today

I have insomnia do you get told "nobody gets a full 8hours, everyone gets tired" if I get 10min in a day/night it's gone well. I'm absolutely exhausted. Have u tried melatonin? I was put on that it helped for about 2 weeks giving me a few hours most nights n it was amazing ha

I've tried melatonin, Ambien and benedryl. It seems hopeless.

Yo, tried so much shiz for sleep, only over the counter that did 💫anything💫 was unisom, helped me stay asleep but I felt pretty groggy in the morning Helped better than what my doc gave me at least. Heard Cbd and Cbn are good, I like Cbd because its not sold with thc In it XD, would love to try cbn (heard great things) but its typically a mix with thc and thats been f*in my anxiety lately so haven't able to try it 😅👌

The only thing that’s actually helped me without making me feel awful later is magnesium supplements. Obviously you want to do your research, check for interactions with meds, etc. Preferably talk to your PCP or other medical provider to make sure they think it will be okay (sometimes they’ll do blood work to check and make sure your magnesium levels aren’t too high for supplements). But I do know a lot of people, both personally and through forums, who say it’s really helped. A lot of people with conditions like ours are actually low on magnesium. If you don’t want to try the supplement, perhaps eat foods that are high in magnesium, particularly in the evening. regardless, I hope you find something to help… 🍀

I recommend asking your doctor about Clonidine for sleeping, it's a blood pressure medication and it WILL knock you out (most likely, at least)

I used to be on that allegedly for anxiety. I would fall asleep fast but couldn't stay asleep 😥
