      @royalty This has been my life since getting off all opiates.. 😤 it makes it all but impossible to have a life!! I can push through the pain and exhaustion, but I can’t work when I’m up all night. This disease has taken me and my life away. 💔😭

      I didn’t know fibro causes insomnia? Except for the pain from fibro which can keep you awake!!

      Once I was put on Flexeril 10 mg at night, sleep was much improved. They also use elavil the same way...talk to your Dr about it....

        @cardeg I take Tramadol but although it is prescribed as 3 times a day my dr. wants me to cut it down even more! The drug doesn’t even take the pain away, it just takes the edge off.

          @Quirky4You mention the use of elavil or Flexeril for sleep. They activate your stage 4 cycle of sleep. The amount of restful sleep that you can get.. the less pain you should be in. Those two drugs are less harsh than tramadol....I am on neurontin 3x a day and cymbalta daily for depression and chronic pain....this combo of drugs work well on my pain... What works for me may not work for you. Every one is different.

      I take amatryptaline, not sure on spelling. I cannot go to sleep without it.

        @Leviross I take 3mg of Melatonin which usually helps but at times I have weird dreams because of it. It’s also like I’m in a twilight sleep which can be annoying.

      There's always a sleep disorder with Fibromyalgia. Might not be the same sleep disorder for every person with Fibromyalgia. Painsomnia is very real. 5-HTP is a great treatment option.

        @LALindsey What is 5 HTP?

      Amitriptyline, with the brand name of Elavil.

      Ive only recently, like 5 months, have had the insomnia. When its more like Restless Legs Syndrome, ive had some luck with light compression socks (<15) and varying heights (ankle/crew/knee-hi). Odd but true. I have different ones bedside to try as needed.

      Have you heard of or tried listening to different colors of noise? I've been listening to brown, blue and green noises which all help with healing and sleep. Even when my pain is at a medically induced coma level, I go on YouTube and find one. Listening to any of these has me asleep in 3 minutes or less, usually no longer than it takes for my head to hit my pillow.

      Pain from Fibro is so bad I avg three hours max in last 20 years. I drink a ton of coffee and use high THC cannabis to keep me on this planet, planet of the Apes!!
