Hi, watch out for all the side effects on the drug information. It does have a good side effect profile. I’m getting my dose reduced because it seems to be have made my hyper sexuality a lot worse. I hope getting the dose reduced will mean I am less impulsive and remain mania-free.

I have really bad reactions to antipsychotics and am sensitive to meds in general. But be prepared for really bad nausea (I could only get like 1 meal down a day because it was so bad). Also watch for increases in anxiety. My psychiatrist tried putting me on a couple of different antipsychotics as we raised the dose of lamotrigine. I hated all of them. But now that I’m up to the maximum dose of lamotrigine I don’t think I’ll need anymore meds! I’m obviously not your provider or a medical professional but there is a lot of medical research out there about how combination therapy isn’t actually that effective and we have only studied the way certain drugs play with each other for certain considerations on a very limited basis. There are very few studies that study the combination of more than 2 meds. So I’d encourage you to poke around and do some of your own research online. But if you are not at the max dose yet on the drugs you are in yet, then you might want to consider raising the dose before you add meds:)
