Increasing Lexapro Dose: Worried About Side Effects

Thinking of increasing my dose of Lexapro and worried about side effects. I'm on the lowest dose (10 mg) for anxiety, and it was helping but lately not as well. Worried taking a higher dose will make me more anxious in the short term, and worsen my side effects in the long term. The most annoying side effects for me are sexual and night sweats. Anyone with experience changing doses (or possibly meds)?

I ended up getting switched to paxil. Ten mg wasn't enough, 20 was too much. One day I was manic the next super low, up and down up and down. It was rough.

I went from 10mg, to 20mg, and now on 30mg, the highest dose. I had the same experience, each time it worked wonders at first but over time it started not helping as much :/

Omg. 100% me. I take 5 milligrams. Non-sexual is a major problem but also after a year has stopped working as it was after a couple weeks till now. :/

I’ve never had side effects from going up, only downside of increasing the dose is having to look forward to the side effects if/when you decide to go back down again. For me, going down causes increased anxiety for 2 weeks or so

I have gone up in lexapro dose before and I have experienced short time side effects but they all disappeared within a couple of days (max 2 weeks). The side effects moving up in dose were the exact same as when I started initially!
