Increased Antidepressant Dose and Panic Attacks

Just need encouragement, been a crazy 6 weeks of anxiety and panic attacks that’s came back. (Was on 20mg Prozac for almost 2 years and was anxiety and attack free. It was amazing! I’m now 2 weeks into taking 40mg and have actually been feeling better agin but had a random panic attack last night. Anyone else had good success with increased dose of antidepressant?

So any antidepressant, whether you're just starting or upping your dose, it takes anywhere between 4-12 weeks for your body to adjust to it. That can mean heightened anxiety, panic attacks, feeling flu-like symptoms, etc. If you don't feel better after that timeframe, definitely talk to your provider about it. But you should be fine! 🤗

I do, and I did that last night. Feeling better today, for the first few weeks of getting better it just kind of feels like that next attack is waiting behind every corner. Getting there though, thanks for the kind words
