Inconsistent results with trazadone for insomnia

I just started taking trazadone for acute insomnia related to anxiety and was wondering if anyone has experienced nights where you're out like a light and other night where it doesn't seem to help at all with falling asleep??

I've only been taking it just under a week but I may end up talking to my doctor about switching to something else. I'm desperate for good sleep and to get on a normal human schedule..🥴
