Incompetent Doctor and Scoliosis Treatment: Share Your Experience

has anyone else here come across an incompetent doctor when they were young who kinda messed up your scoliosis treatment and failed to find the true underlying problem (for me it was chiari) until it was almost too late to prevent something severe? if so what was ur experience? for me when i was 4 i was diagnosed with scoliosis (one of my many symptoms leading to my chiari diagnosis) and he did nothing but give me a back brace to wear for years. eventually with seeing that no matter what my scoliosis only got worse my parents contacted a neurologist who was baffled by the fact in the 5 years i was with the prior doctor he hadnt once got me an MRI since my scoliosis never improved and with my other symptoms she found out i had chiari and syrinx so bad if it had been caught later id be paralized. thankfully we were able to get the decompression surgury and shrink my syrinx, and now, im 18 and have virtually no more symptoms or issues :)
