Managing Fibromyalgia Pain in College

I have fibro and one of my main pain points is my wrists. I am a college student and so have to write in my subjects, however I have managed to get typing access for exams. I also live to crochet as a hobby, however this also uses my wrists. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to minimise pain doing these without having to stop crocheting?

I suffer from wrist pain too. A brace would help a lot. Try it out, see if you can crochet with one on. I use the ones for carpal tunnel, those have a metal that will keep your wrist from moving or bending.

Wrist warm ups/exercises can help, as well as trying to move them in non-repedative ways when you can. I cross stitch and get the same thing, and I noticed that changing the way I hold the needle from time to time helps, and I know there are videos out there on wrist health for crochet and other yarn crafts, it might be worth it to check those out!

I use a wrist compression/support band when I have been writing or typing for long periods of time or when I do my embroidery. There are loads of options on amazon and most pharmacies sell them as well. It's not a magical cure but it does help me personally
