Mine is caused by stress 😩 possibly your getting stressed out. I do have medication for it from the Drs it helps as over the counter stuff didn't. Hate having ibs.

Diet and potentially medications/supplements to help regulate

I don't take it myself but a family member has started taking apple cider vinegar for their IBS and its been very effective - much more so than any probiotics or diet changes they've tried in the past. Of course, everyone is different!

My IBS got way better when I started using Konsyl. Metamucil tore me up. But Konsyl actually bulked my stools enough to help. I take it with knox gelatin. I also learned to stop trying to eat raw vegetables and only eat cooked ones now. I also have to be very careful of what water I drink. Figured out the water in my home town was making me run all the time.

@nocturnum activated charcoal like someone recommended above is good as long as you don't get constipated. I wish everyone with IBS knew about stool testing because it usually reveals imbalance causing IBS

Avoiding sugar and coffee helps me. If I'm having a bad day, I also avoid large amounts of dairy.

I've been trying recently taking activated charcoal to slow down the diarrhea, and then if it happens to have the effect too well and back me up, I drink pure aloe vera juice to help move things along without any kind of stimulant. I'd be happy to share links if you'd like. Also I'd start with a 260 charcoal first to see how your body responds, and I wouldnt take it everyday or you can definitely get backed up.

No fiber. I use some magnesium supplements. Seems to clear my bowels and makes me less gassy and bloated.

I just eat a lot of fiber bars ,:/

Some suggestions from individuals with IBS include using a stool or squatty potty to help reduce straining, trying an elimination diet, taking over-the-counter products like IB Guard (peppermint capsules), going vegan, consuming salads and sprouts, juicing at home, taking miralax, avoiding trigger foods, and drinking plenty of fluids. Other recommendations include CBD oil, probiotics, peppermint oil drops, pepto bismol, chamomile tea, therapy, acid reducers, anti-spasmodic meds, pelvic stretches, abdominal massages, hot tea, and Tummy Drops. However, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new treatment regimen.
