Does anyone have any ibs c tips that doctors don’t always suggest? I’ve failed amitiza, linzess, amitriptyline, erythromycin, and bentyl and just got back from being in the er from not going for 2 weeks. Drs said there’s no other meds until I’m 18 and laxatives barley work anymore. I would appreciate any tips so much.

When I am “off”. I over eat salads, sprouts or anything like that. I also will juice myself with the home juicer. Couple of glasses and you will go! I daily take miralax now. That has been the only thing I can tolerate. If I have as much as a couple of drinks… can screw the whole thing up. Motility is the key and you probably had abdominal surgery. Adhesions cause havoc. Make sure to drink. I’m not drinking enough and I have to force myself to get to 32 or 36 ounces.
I have failed all those medications as well my doctor has suggested do a elimination diet but I have also found these peppermint capsuls, the brand is called IB Guard and it is an over the counter product, it's in a green box you can fi d at Walmart or Wallgreens. Everything you get the stomach ache and the need to go #2 just take 2 peppermint capsules and it soothes you stomach such especially when you can't go to the bathroom at the moment. It doesn't completely get rid of the paint and it works pretty fast but not right away but it is my last resort till I can find something else. I also have a cousin with IBS and she decided to go vegan and she has said that it has helped a lot I am thinking about possibly trying that as well
I have tried it and it does seem to help when I’m able to go, thank you tho!!

it isn’t a medication or something to help unblock you, but i find that when i am blocked up, using a stool or squatty potty can help me have less straining and therefore less pain. not sure if that’s something you’ve tried yet!
