IBD and Gallbladder: Seeking Advice

So my MRI enterography came back normal. My mom still thinks it’s my gallbladder and I think I’m beginning to think of it as well. I’m trying to get a ultrasound of it and then see someone involving the muscles in that area. Has anyone with IBD had their gallbladder out as well?

Unrelated to Gallbladder sorry but wanted to relate; Just got an MRE too, the contrast really upset my body haha! Im scared my MRE will come back fine too just like everything else has (bloodwork and other tests) and we will still be searching for answers as well.

Yes I’m Claire, 18 year old diagnosed with Crohn’s at age 11. In 2020 I had my gallbladder removed because it was completely filled with stones and I was in a crap ton of pain. The doctors said that it was a complication due to my Crohn’s diagnoses. However I would like you to know that most doctors give a talk when you are about to get it out, and it can be hard to hear for people with eating disorders or weight issues. I was completely taken aback by the fact that my doctor called me severely obese and that was really hurtful because I had just lost 60 pounds and was in recovery from an ed. Also a side affect of not having one can be weight gain which is the biggest one I’ve had to deal with. Good luck with your journey and if you have more questions please feel free to ask💕
