I switched from omeprazole and I had to continue taking the omeprazole from time to time while my body was getting used to the pantoprazole. Now, I’m all good and it works great! I have always kept emergency meds around just in case though

Yes taking it and it has helped so much. Taking it for probably 6 months now. Took a while to take full effect. I had chronic pain in my chest and was still getting little symptoms here and there. So much better, but also drastically changed my diet. Anyone have any side effects from the meds. I lost 2 toenails and been having numbness in toes and sometimes get dead leg. Feel it happened when went on this med. I know it’s not good for bones, but I will take these side effects over what I was experiencing not on the med.

I’ve had many symptoms. Mind you I have not been diagnosed yet. When I would eat sugary, processed, salty, fried foods a feeling would come over me as if something bad was happening in my body and I would feel like I was going to die. I don’t know if that was the acid in my throat and I would get shortness of breath too. It would last for hours. I would also belch and go to bathroom and that would seem to relieve symptoms. I also was getting chronic pain in chest area and sides. Went on Protonix and it helps so much and drastic diet change where I eliminate or have little of the above mentioned foods.
