Considering a Hysterectomy for PCOS Symptoms

What are your thoughts on a hysterectomy to deal with symptoms? My mother also has PCOS and her full hysterectomy at 35 was the best thing she’s ever done according to her. I’m currently 20, I have never wanted biological children (I’d like to be a foster parent if I decide I want kids) and I’m nonbinary so my cycle causes me a lot of gender dysphoria. I want a hysterectomy more than anything, but I’d definitely like to hear from others with PCOS first.

Hii! So basically pcos is NOT caused by your ovaries! So a hysterectomy will not cure or really help with your symptoms it is more of a endocrine issue. It really just affects your ovaries due to that but I have heard so many people who have had a hysterectomy say it’s pretty much not made any difference whatsoever, but everyone is different and if your mother had positive results after then I would go with whatever you think is best! But personally i would try an inflammatory diet because a lot of our symptoms come from the inflammation we have
