A DO vs MD sometimes is better as well
I like my doctor but sometimes I think I need an older doctor who understands older people better.
My fester in law is a hyperchondriac. I don't see that in your posts. I hope you are doing OK today

Yes
I wasn't speaking in the literal sense. Was actually surprised when I started listing things.

Yes but I think a true hypochondriac is one who wants to be sick or also pretends to be
@PoetryJoy this ^^^^ Some people have genuinely a lot going on, theres nothing to be ashamed of with that.
I've got 17 conditions listed, but mostly just feel weak and pitiful, not like a hypochondriac. I know I have them all. I'm just a medical anomaly or something.
@Mop i don't have symptoms everyday from all of them thankfully. Some are come and go. Like ibd. Glad I'm not the only one!!!
@stargazer27 yeah if all of them were attacking me at once I dont think I'd be alive lol. Had one too many scrapes with death thanks to the pile as is.
👍
I agree, sounds like you need to change doctors. It is so hard to find someone that will treat multiple chronic issues well
@MaryC back home I saw an internal med w/ secondary in psychology. This one is just a general. Will have to shop around. 👍
I had an awesome doc before I moved out of state 9 years ago
I'm starting to think I might need to find a new doc. She apparently referred me to a cardiologist last year and something got lost along the way and never happened. Including telling me. I finally got an appt. But she said she was going to send me to a hematologist and that has yet to happen. And she never even told me until this visit about blood issues until this last cost. Which apparently had been going on since March of last year. I've called my health advocate and doc multiple times and yet to get a response
I hear that. I got lucky & found a primary care doctor that takes care of everything for me. I'm only seeing a special note for my broken leg. Hopefully July 8 he will let me start putting some weight on it so I can get back to "normal", or at least my normal.
@MaryC ouch to broken leg!!!
@MaryC **Specialist - stupid auto correct hates me lol

I think a lot of my conditions are solvable. At least in my head they are. And it's not happening and is very frustrating. Not to mention having to wait months for appts. Grrr
Yes, yes it does
Apparently it sucks to get older. Ha
