I have been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, I found a lump in my neck months ago and just decided to get it checked out a couple of weeks ago. I was sent to a thyroid specialist and she recommended I take radioactive iodine for it. a test. I have to go on a diet, no dairy, or salt. I also can't breastfeed my 10 month old for 5 days. I'm really freaking out about not being able to nurse him because he refuses to take bottles. is this procedure necessary?? any information is appreciated. thank you
