is it normal to feel violent when you get too hyper focused? i’m not sure if it’s my misophonia or adhd or a combination of the two, but i’ll tend to get really invested in something that’s bothering me and physically can’t look away. i’m on a lot of adderral n shit and i don’t fucking know man it’s fucking hard. but i don’t wanna stop taking my adderral because of that, but i don’t want this to keep happening, but i like my adderral. but like, when i’m getting hyperfocused i just have this uncontrollable rage building up inside of me and the need to take it out on someone. i can’t breathe or anything it’s like i’m removed from everyone and everything besides what i’m focused on.

when i took adderall it made me so full of rage and made it scary to be around anyone because i thought i might lash out and hurt them. for that reason i just stopped taking it. i’m not sure if you’ve tried other adhd medication but i think it might be worth it to look into

I get super irritated with certain noises too but I thought it was just me and not my ADHD. Are they linked together?

@Nightfall not a lot of research has been done on misophonia but i don’t think they’re generally linked

Your should probably have a discussion with your doctor about this. I've experienced this frustration as well, and if your meds are making it worse, you may just need to try other options. I know personally, I did great on Adderall, but concerta made me hyper aggressive. Everyone is different, and it's about finding what fits you.
