Hi there! My name is Liz. My question would be about Humira. If you've ever taken it, what are the side effects, do you recommend it.

So I'm pretty young when I got diagnosed and humera was the very first thing they put me on and when I first started taking it for at least the first 2 to 3 shots it did get a little bit of a rash that was kind of itchy but after a couple the rash stopped the only thing I'm experiencing now is when it gets closer to my shot date like the day before my stomach dose act up a little again

I’ve been on humira for 10 years. It has been amazing! Only side effect is getting sick more often so just have to be cautious of that.

I started Humira this year as my second biologic. I was originally using Stelara, but it didn’t work for my Crohn’s. When I first started Humira, it did make me feel sort of weird, ended up in the ER with a temp & insane nausea. Ended up having a surgery, (not sure if my Crohn’s was too flared up or not) but now I have an infection from the surgery, so I’ve had to stop taking the Humira. I noticed that the Prednisone & Humira can be taken together, but in my case it didn’t work. Not sure if Humira is gonna be my biologic, but it all just depends on your body.

It didn’t work for me and made my flare worse. It works great for my friend but if you feel miserable the first 24-48/hrs ask about other options. Nothing but maintaining my diet (paleo) has helped.
