so I found out I tested positive for HPV and now I feel dirty it says it's super common but it stresses me out and I've been with the same partner for the last two months and he gave it me to be fair they don't test males for it so it's not his fault but I can't help but feel lied to and Im stressed about the increased risk of cervical cancer and it's taking a heavy toll on my mental health and my relationship and I don't know how to talk to my family about it or to my partner about it with out it seeming like I'm blaming him

I have the same thing. I have had a difficult mental acceptance of it at first since there was difficulty removing my abnormal cells that formed. I found it's much more common than people think. I was vaccinated 2 different times as a small kid. Still have it. Now I don't care that I have it.

Don’t feel dirty. I know it’s a difficult matter. I’m dealing with it myself for the past 3 years. When speaking to family And your partner just be open about your feelings and fear but with the right treatment and regular doctor visits you should be okay. Can I ask what strain you have? I have 16
