how to start therapy? i have a therapist and everything who i'm seeing for a second time this week but i don't know where to start if that makes sense. i feel as if there's a lot of bases to cover. do i start with the things affecting me the most? what did you do or focus on during your first few therapy sessions?

The best way to start therapy is to go slow, especially if this is your first therapist. And also make sure to start on smaller topics as you don't want to go to hard the first time and wind up having a break down from it. Furthermore, make sure to give your therapist a basis of what has gone on in your life so like (any depression and anxiety you experience as well as if you experienced any trauma etc) so they know and can help if you have a breakdown or cry in the session. But what you tell them at first DOES NOT have to be in detail, it just needs to be the basis of what you're struggling with so they have an idea. Hope therapy goes well for you hon! ❤️🤗💕
