how do you remember to take medication? i have alarms but i always end up ignoring them at some point because i’m out, or i’m too tired to get all the meds out.

i use a weekly pill organizer and i just got into the habit of doing it at the same time every day, right after eating and right before showering. i’d try some kind of incentive for taking them until it just becomes habit/routine. or if you have anyone who can hold you responsible for taking them can be helpful as well. make it simple for yourself, have them nearby you. i think it’s helpful too to celebrate yourself taking them, even if it’s just telling yourself you’re proud of you !

I have a tiny pill case that's about an inch long that i keep in my pocket at all times. I can't exactly say "I'm too lazy to get it" if it's right in my pocket. That, in combination with alarms, helps me a lot

Any kind of routine you can get in is helpful. I find I forget to take mine all the time if I don't have a solid routine for WHEN to take them

I use a pill organizer that is on my night stand so every morning & night I can take my meds & also my phone alarm is set to go off in the morning daily

i have a week-long pill planner so i always know when i took my meds for the day and it’s really convenient for having my doses all together. i used to always turn my alarm off and think “i’ll get to this in a second” then COMPLETELY forget but now i have a few alarms in 5 minute intervals that go off at a time that i know i can take my meds (9 pm for me) so my alarm goes off at 9 and 9:05 (as my “you forgot”) and then a 9:10 is like “seriously get off your butt and take them” and that works for me!

If you live with someone that’s responsible, I would suggest getting them to be in charge of your meds. My husband wakes me up before he goes to work to give me my meds and reminds me to take them at dinner as well. He even fills up my meds in a daily container so I don’t have to worry about missing any.

Do you have a favorite daily thing or snack that you can incentivize taking them with? Or leaving them in the bathroom where you know you’ll be so they are right in front of you to take them?
