      You have to reward yourself for trying. Tell yourself "this thing right here here is my reward for trying". Maybe thats a milkshake, maybe its a walk around the block, maybe treating yourself in some other way. Because life isn't perfect, why should we be? Trying is the point. Continuing to get up and do it all over again even when the outcome isn't certain is the point.

      Make goals even if you don't go through with them. Connect with others, and do some self care. Take a break if you have to, and do what you love unless it's harming you and/or others.

        @bugz but how do you avoid beating yourself up over it when you don't achieve a goal? That's my biggest set back right now

          @spider_girl917 I would say talk to a therapist about ways you can combat your negative talk. Also, think about who made you feel that way? Was it yourself? A parent? Journal about that.
