Hospitalized during COVID recovery

2 nights ago I ended up in the hospital. I was on day 8 of recovering from COVID, and I went to take out the trash. Unfortunately this somehow overexerted me and I began to have heart palpitations with every breath. I occasionally get palps but it's normal because I have POTS. I felt my chest and could feel the unrhythmic beating and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Luckily all is okay, no heart damage from covid, no clots or heart attack. I was told between POTS, COVID, and most likely being calcium deficient, this was the cause of that arrhythmia episode. Honestly the worst part was reliving what my life was like before my POTS diagnosis and treatment. The fear that you might be having a heart attack or something is damaged. I'm still pretty anxious because I'm afraid this might happen again, but i was able to shower for the first time in days so I call tonight a win!

Thank you so much for sharing! Calcium deficiency (as well as high levels of calcium) affect the heart directly and are very dangerous!! You’re very lucky that it was nothing worse
