Horrible Side Effects of Omeprazole: Gas Pains, Nausea, Anxiety, Fatigue & Weakness

Anybody else been having horrible gas pains, nausea, anxiety, fatigue, and weakness while taking omeprazole? Also if you are trying to get off of it like I am, does it make your lower stomach burn? I am exhausted and drained and feeling horrible. Only started feeling this way when taking it.

I moved from omeprazole to pantoprazole which is the prescription version that gives me none of those side effects and I have zero heart burn. I have been on the prescription for over six years so I barely remember how I was on omeprazole...I think I did experience a few of them.

Oh good to know! I too have been on it for a little over a year and been having brain fog and fatigue and abdominal cramps and trapped gas. I just started doing every other day for almost two weeks now and I’m starting to feel nauseous super often but I don’t have bad acid reflux or heartburn. So that’s a plus. But just drained and feeling really defeated

Have gotten off but it’s smart to do so carefully! I was on 40mg twice a day then went down to 20 twice a day for 2 weeks then went down to 20 once a day for a week then 20 once a day every other day for a couple weeks. Had some abdominal pain and extra fatigue, but nothing major going it that way (keep in mind I had been on it for over a year)
