It hurts and it sucks, but try to throw some alcohol on it (if it's on the lip) and use it like three times a day and it'll dry up. If you have any steroid cream, that works like a dream too.

I take 1 l-lysine pill every day. When I'm having an outbreak, I take 2 every day. It helps.
